Research, preserve and interpret moving-image culture within United Hampshire.

The BFI supports public understanding of film, television-equivalent output, moving images, screen culture, historical recordings and related digital cultural material that actually exists within United Hampshire.

The BFI may curate, describe and interpret screen material, preserve moving-image heritage and support responsible public access. It does not become a broadcaster, media regulator or Government communications service merely because it works with screen content.

Real-world film-rights ownership is not displaced by a United Hampshire catalogue entry. Public exhibition, copying or reuse must use the appropriate rights route.
